Unbridled's Song - Miss Macy Sue, by Trippi
2011, gr/ro, entered stud 2016

Liam’s Map leads all first-crop sires worldwide in 2019 with an outstanding two Grade 1 winners. Basin, a colt trained by Steve Asmussen, won Saratoga’s G1 Hopeful S. by an emphatic 6 1/2 lengths to give Liam’s Map his first graded score. Wicked Whisper, who was named a "TDN Rising Star" in her career debut at Saratoga, went wire-to-wire in Belmont’s G1 Frizette S.

Not only do these top-level successes rank Liam’s Map among the best current sires, but it puts him alongside some of America’s top stallions in history. Since 1983, just eight other first-crop stallions have sired two Grade 1 winners, with only Danzig and Uncle Mo having sired both Grade 1 fillies and colts.

Liam’s Map’s outstanding physical is passing onto his progeny. His first colts brought up to $500,000, while his fillies have sold for up to $400,000. In 2019, he sired 33 six-figure yearlings.

The first juveniles by Liam’s Map showed sales up to $1,200,000 in 2019 before hitting the track. As a covering sire, his sales have reached $1,600,000.

An $800,000 Keeneland September yearling, Liam's Map is out of the stakes-winning Trippi mare Miss Macy Sue, and is a half-brother to graded winner Not This Time and black-type winner Taylor S. Liam’s Map’s pedigree carries only one cross of Northern Dancer in the sixth generation, so his pedigree will be an ideal outcross for mares inbred to Northern Dancer. Since Liam’s Map’s pedigree largely consists of horses bred by or based on pedigrees of horses bred by John Nerud, it should also be beneficial to emphasize female families associates with Nerud other than Aspidistra.
